Our trustees

We have three committed trustees with a wide range of relevant experience 

Helen Miskin

Chair

Helen is an accredited member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP) and registered with the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapists (UKCP) through the Society of Existential Analysts (SEA). She has worked in the NHS for 20+ years, in charities and in private practice, as a psychotherapist, counsellor, trainer, manager and supervisor.

Aíne Venables

Trustee

With a rich career in literature and arts education, Aíne is innovative and experienced in both creative programming and the provision of excellent creative opportunities to celebrate the power of active learning, reading for pleasure and family communication. Aíne’s experience in initiating and delivering dynamic and engaging projects means that she can support The Family Place Foundation to deliver excellent family-centred, inclusive experiences.

Jim Smith

Trustee

Jim is a fellow member of The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants with an MBA in Business Administration. He has over 20 years of experience as a Finance Manager and Financial Controller working in private practice in a variety of industries ranging from Manufacturing to Health and Education. Jim’s experience in working across a range of accounting software and implementing governance procedures will enhance the Foundation’s finance systems moving forward.
